About Elva
I am a native Mandarin speaker with a strong foundation in Chinese language and culture. I have a deep passion for Chinese traditions, including calligraphy, and enjoy sharing cultural insights alongside language learning.
With 15 years of international trade experience and 5 years of overseas study, I bring a global perspective to my teaching. I have traveled to over 30 countries and am confident communicating with students from different backgrounds.
I am patient, engaging and experienced in working with young people. My lessons go beyond language, allowing students to explore Chinese culture, think globally and communicate confidently in Mandarin.

I take a flexible and student-focused approach, adapting each lesson to your level and goals. As a native Mandarin speaker with a Bachelor’s degree in English Education, I can explain Chinese clearly and effectively for English-speaking learners.
My teaching focuses on building a strong foundation in pronunciation and sentence structure, then developing practical communication skills through speaking and real-life examples.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes and include explanation, practice and review to ensure steady progress.
My classes are suitable for beginners to advanced students, including children, teenagers and adults.
