I'm a physicist from Cuba, I have been university professor for more than 20 years. Also I do some casual tutoring to FIU students.

I believe that the teaching work should be done from the needs of the student, that is why each topic in my classes has a different approach according to the student. I prefer to train the analytical skills first before going to the calculus skills because whoever does not understand a physical phenomenon cannot find the correct mathematical formulation. Every student has potential, the professor should discover that trough the experience and the knowledge.
