About Andrea
Hi, I’m Andrea Rincones and a sophomore at San Diego State University majoring in finance with a minor in marketing. I’m actively involved in Greek life and a member of final club which focuses on personal and academic success. I speak English fluently, but I think it is important to mention that I only learned it 6 years ago after moving to the U.S., and I taught myself! This experience gave me unique insights into the language-learning process, and it’s what makes me stand out as a tutor. I understand the challenges of mastering a new language, and I use this knowledge to help my students feel confident in learning and speaking Spanish.

My Approach as a Tutor...
I believe in maximizing our time together, so I ask students to send me their notes, assignments, and any relevant materials before our session. This allows me to review everything ahead of time and focus directly on the areas where they need the most help. Whether it’s homework, test preparation, or clarifying difficult concepts, our sessions are customized to meet each student's individual needs.
Who the Lessons Are For..
My lessons are primarily for middle and high school students who are learning Spanish. However, I can also assist college students with basic Spanish assignments. I’m here to help students grasp the essentials of the language and succeed in their classes.
My Goal as a Tutor...
My ultimate goal is to help students feel more comfortable and confident when speaking and exploring a new language like Spanish. I want them to discover the fun and richness of the language, not just from a grammar perspective, but also in its cultural context. I was born and raised in Venezuela until I was twelve and I firsthand experienced how providing a supportive environment can help someone learn a new language and gain confidence.
