About Imelda
Raised and born in Mexico, I came to the US as an international student, I have a degree in Psychology and currently I'm a Bilingual tutor and volunteer as an ESL teacher in a Public Library.
My first language is Spanish, and as a person that speaks a second language (English), along with my own experience and being a teacher, I have learned some ways to make it easier for my students to develop the skills they need to communicate effectively in their new language.

In my teaching method, I really encourage my students to open their minds to make mistakes and to take them as an opportunity to grow and learn something new. Because with practice, discipline and the resources eventually we can achieve our goals.
My main goal is to make the students practice their knowledge about Spanish and to find the right way to learn for them, that means to personalized every class according to their needs, interests and tastes.
