About Tara
I'm a second-year Law student at the University of Oxford -- growing up across the Atlantic Ocean, going to Oxford was my dream for many years. I know from experience that any skills worth developing take rigorous practice and a real, genuine enjoyment. Having continued my French studies after moving to the UK, I can say I definitely have that enjoyment -- and it's something I want you to feel, too! With tailored tutoring and consistent focus, including speaking and writing, you too can become fluent and comfortable in the beautiful French language.
Having recently completed my IB diploma (2024) I am a young, friendly, and personable tutor with up-to-date experience of what secondary school mark schemes and university application processes look like!

I grew up in Ontario, Canada, where I studied at a French-immersion school, and developed a bilingual grasp on the language. In secondary school in the UK I scored a GCSE grade 9 in French, and an IB SL grade 7, demonstrating a perfect grasp of beginner and intermediate French that will serve secondary school, GCSE, A-level, IB SL, and beginner/intermediate learners seeking general speaking practice.
We'll do a short introductory session free of charge so we can get to know one another, I can understand your needs and what will work best for you, and so that you can decide if you like my style!
