About Laura
I have a a masters degree in Human Biology, three years of research experience working with bacterial biofilms and a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry with Study in Industry,
I have teaching experience as a tutor of 10-18 year olds in mathematics and biology, a developer and teacher of an intensive IB Biology revision course, as well as work experience developing educational science content for universities and high schools globally.
I am a positive, friendly and open-minded woman who strives for an equitable and inclusive approach to teaching for all genders, ethnicities, sexualities and religions.

Down to earth, friendly approach to teaching science. We'll break down difficult subjects into bite size pieces to help you understand the WHY - once you get there, remembering the facts comes more easily. We'll work together to find out your learning style and the pace that works for you. If something does not make sense, we'll approach it from another angle, always with a focus on active learning.
The human body is a fascinating interconnection of processes from the biochemical level to whole body systems. I want to share that excitement with you!
Teaching anywhere up to introductory university level. I can additionally help you with chemistry and mathematics at a high school / sixth form level.
