About Florence
Having just completed my first year of Biochemistry BSc at King's College London, I am deeply passionate about both Biology and Chemistry and I understand how beneficial clear explanations and targeted practice can be.
I am firmly of the belief that academic success in science is not only dependent on learning facts but truly understanding the concepts and its real-life applications, building the confidence to be able to succeed in school and in exam settings.
Tutoring allows me to use my academic strengths to support students individually, adapt to their learning styles, and help them see real progress. I also love the idea of making a direct positive impact on someone’s education and seeing my students progress.

I have just completed my first year of Biochemistry BSc at King's College London and am looking to tutor both Biology and Chemistry at pre-GCSE, GCSE or A-level. I have over a year's experience in private GCSE science tutoring.
I offer tutoring sessions of 1 hour.
How I structure my sessions:
I start with a quick check-in to see how the student is feeling and what they want to focus on. Alternatively, if there are no specific areas of focus in mind, I work chronologically through the exam board specification for that subject.
By focusing on 1-2 main topics per session, it allows for explanation of key concepts, worked practice questions and examples as well as a review.
I finish with a short recap, ask them to explain one of the concepts back to me, and set consolidatory practice questions to review together next time.
