About Jayna
Hello all! I am currently working as an Immunology research assistant and I will be starting my PhD program in the fall of 2025. I have always had a knack for both English and Science and continue to pursue both passions in my current work. I was a tutor in both high school and college mostly working with students who needed help with chemistry, biology or writing and editing essays. I hope to continue to aid more students in the academic endeavors through this work.

I like to approach my tutoring with a clear goal or project in mind. That goal may take the form of completing homework assignments, preparing for an exam or building an outline for an essay. I can easily adapt my style of tutoring to suit my clientele and take great pride in my ability to simplify concepts in order to make them easier to grasp. I have tutored both high school and college students in the past and I host high school students in my lab during the summers where they learn about immunology and research methods.
In any given lesson I would always start by reviewing where we last left off and what concepts we are still struggling with and/or new work we must complete. From there we would focus on a core goal for that session and review at the end what we are able to take away from that lesson before adjusting our plan moving forward.
