About Mary Margaret
I’m a Biochemistry graduate from Clemson University with over six years of tutoring experience in science and math, working with students from middle school through college. I’m a Biochemistry graduate from Clemson University with over six years of tutoring experience, and I’ve found that the key to helping students succeed is meeting them where they are. Everyone learns a little differently, so I take the time to understand each student’s learning style and tailor my approach to fit. Whether it’s breaking down tough concepts into simpler terms, working through real practice problems, or using visuals and analogies, I make sure the material actually clicks. My sessions are structured but flexible, with time for review, guided practice, and working through problems together so students feel confident tackling them on their own.
What really sets me apart is how much I care about making students feel supported and capable. I work mostly with middle school through college students in subjects like biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and math, and I also help with test prep like the ACT and SAT. I’ve worked with all kinds of learners—including those with ADHD or test anxiety—and I always aim to create a relaxed, encouraging space where they can ask questions and feel good about making progress.
