About Shvetansh
Hey everyone! My name is Shvetansh and I am a recent graduate from Baylor University. I did my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and was on the pre-medical track.
Throughout my undergraduate education, I have had the privilege of working closely with students and other tutors in the STEM field, looking to master these subject areas. Just like a trainer helps a sportsman (guiding them on how to improve their competencies), a tutor helps a student gain a better understanding of subjects. I am very passionate about becoming that individual for the students: to help them grasp the subject, improve their performance, and help them succeed. In this position, my enthusiasm for teaching will help students achieve their academic endeavors.
In addition, academics is one of my strong suits during my undergraduate career. High grades never came easily to me, however, I applied strategies that allowed me to perform well in subjects. Since I understand the struggle of learning difficult subjects, I desire to present my strategies to help each student excel. Ultimately, as a tutor, I will be given a direct pipeline to share my talents as I develop, personally, and hopefully create a love for my fellow students.

My teaching method includes a combination of tailored learning and interactive examples. I am a firm believer of "practice makes perfect," which is mostly what my teaching method revolves around.
A typical lesson plan starts off by addressing any new questions from the student. After I address those questions with a combination of examples and practice problems, I will introduce the next topic. I believe that the best way to learn is to build off from previous knowledge; hence, I will connect it with earlier concepts that the student has a great foundation on. Once I am done teaching the topic, I will provide a plethora of practice problems to the student. Finally, once the problems are done, the session will conclude with a 5-10 minute quiz that I will administer with them to not only test their knowledge, but also reduce any test anxiety that may happen in the class setting.
I believe my academic foundation in real-world applications sets me apart. Being a Biochemistry major allows me to make complex ideas easier by connecting them to practical examples. I also believe my approachability and friendliness make for a conducive learning environment.
