About Adam
I’m Adam, an undergraduate at the University of York studying Biochemistry. I am eager to develop student’s subject knowledge and understanding alongside improving their exam performance. Despite having lots of prior experience teaching friends one-on-one or in group settings for GCSEs and A-Levels, I am new to formal tutoring. This provided me with insight into tailoring explanations, understanding common misconceptions, and adapting my teaching style to suit different individuals. With a strong background in biochemistry and ongoing undergraduate studies, I will bring a solid foundation of subject knowledge to my tutoring sessions and utilise scientifically proven teaching methods like spaced repetition and active recall, to ensure that my students develop a deep subject understanding while improving exam performance. Through my own academic experiences, I will establish trust and instil confidence in my students, empowering them to achieve their goals.
