About Aneree
Hi! My name is Aneree, and I’m an international student from Kenya, studying at UofM, majoring in Biological Sciences. I absolutely love teaching math—but even more than that, I love helping people feel comfortable and confident while learning. For me, it’s not just about solving equations; it’s about creating a space where you feel safe to ask questions, express your struggles, and work through them with someone who truly listens. I believe learning works best when it’s a team effort, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. Whether you’re in primary school, high school, or just need a bit of extra help, we’ll work together to break down tricky concepts and turn them into something clear and manageable. As a tutor, I focus on building a comfortable environment for students so they are able to freely notice and voice their doubts without feeling shy. Some of my techniques involve interactive sessions where I would let the student speak more and help them solve the queries on themselves rather than I doing it for them. I am a flexible and engaging tutor who works with students of all ages, from young children in elementary school to college-level learners. My teaching style is student-centered and adaptable, focusing on building a strong foundation, encouraging curiosity, and making learning enjoyable. For younger students, I incorporate fun activities, games, and visual aids to simplify complex ideas and keep them motivated. With older students, I emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving techniques, and structured practice to deepen understanding and boost confidence. I tailor every lesson to the student's unique learning style and pace, using a warm and supportive approach to create a positive learning environment. A typical lesson includes a brief review, a clear explanation of new topics, guided and independent practice, and a recap to ensure retention. I tutor elementary and middle school students in basic math, problem-solving, and foundational skills; high school students in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus; and college students in introductory Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Statistics.
