About Christina
Hi I'm Christina and I am a 22 year old graduate from Tufts University preparing attend medical school. Having graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Biology degree and completion of medical school pre-requisite courses, I have extensive experience with the natural sciences, physics, and mathematics. I am also fluent in Spanish. I have 4 years of experience as an ESL (English as a Second Language) tutor and 3+ years of private academic tutoring experience both in person and virtually in mathematics, science, Spanish, and English. Beyond tutoring, I love working with children and teens generally, which can be reflected in my years of babysitting and youth track coaching experience as well! Furthermore, my leadership and coordination skills can be seen in the many leadership positions I took on at Tufts, one of which being my presidency of an ESL-tutoring community outreach club.

In my lessons, I find it essential to connect with students beyond the material, on a personal and academic level. Doing so allows them to explore their strengths, weaknesses, and ways we can improve upon old habits or instill new ones, which will ultimately push them to excel in academic disciplines outside of the current focus. I always hope my students take away skills that they can apply to other subjects and for years down the line. Of equal importance, I also make sure I keep a good mix of light-heartedness, enjoyable focus and rigor, and fun!
