About Raihanah
Hello! My name is Raihanah, and I am currently in the third year of my Bachelor of Biomedicine degree at the University of Melbourne. I have been tutoring IB, SACE and VCE students since March 2021, resulting in excellent academic improvements & student satisfaction.
I graduated as the 2020 International Baccalaureate (IB) Dux of my high school with an IB score of 44/45 - equivalent to an ATAR of around 99.75 - after having completed Biology Higher-Level (HL), Chemistry HL, French B Standard-Level (SL), Mathematics SL and Psychology SL with 7/7 grades; English A Literature with a 6/7 grade and a Psychology Extended Essay with a 33/34 grade.
Whether you need help with assignments and homework; getting ready for examinations, quizzes and/or tests; or consolidating class material through additional questions and exam papers, I would be pleased to assist you in attaining more favourable marks! While it is a difficult educational programme, I am prepared to give you recommendations on how to tackle assessments effectively, based on my personal & professional experiences and understanding.

As a current masterclass tutor with Global Health Youth Connect and someone with 1.5+ years of tutoring experience, I enjoy aiding students in developing efficient studying strategies and solutions to their academic problems. I often commence tutoring sessions by explaining abstract concepts in an interactive & lucid manner specifically tailored to each student’s areas of concern, capabilities and learning style. This teaching is then followed by working on relevant exercises together to consolidate student understanding of challenging and/or novel concepts. Each lesson typically takes 1 hour for 1 subject.
Some of the tasks that I have successfully conducted as a tutor include collecting and guiding students through carefully-collated, relevant and useful learning resources such as externally-sourced worksheets, official study guide questions and past examination papers; and delivering in-depth, specific feedback on students' academic assessments, including 3 English essays, 5 IB Chemistry internal assessments and 6 laboratory reports. As a result, my tutoring students have shown excellent improvement in their academic performance. Hence, I am eager to assist pupils in acquiring a more profound learning experience and thereby shine in their academics!
