I have earned a PhD in Biology from Harvard University and taught in several University biology and genetics courses. I have led labs, discussion sections, lectures, and one-on-one lessons for topics including evolutionary biology, genetics, developmental biology, and introductory biology. In working with students I try to identify areas of knowledge students have a handle on, and areas that students are challenged by. I then try to help students get a better grasp on the material they might be struggling with by leading them to understand the material while allowing them to discover understanding for themselves. I try to help students through practice problems, questions, and explanations.
