About Catherine
I am a biology professor currently teaching introductory biology and anatomy and physiology, and in the past I have taught genetics, cellular biology, and microbiology. I have worked with college students, as well as many high school students who are preparing for the AP Biology exam.

My primary goal as I work with students is to help them identify study skills that help them learn independently. In many cases, there are ways to break down complex biological concepts into more manageable "chunks" to increase understanding. In addition, because biology is so important from the standpoint of health and current events, I always try to incorporate examples which are personally relevant to my student whenever possible.
