About Carol
Hi! I’m Carol, a recent Biology graduate from Montclair State University. I know firsthand that biology can be challenging, and my goal is to make learning it enjoyable and stress-free. I create a relaxed, relatable, and supportive tutoring environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new concepts. My approach is interactive and tailored to each student, helping them build confidence, understand the material deeply, and even start enjoying science along the way.

I take a patient, interactive, and personalized approach to tutoring, focusing on making biology accessible and engaging for every student. I break down complex concepts into simple, real-world examples, using step-by-step explanations and visual aids whenever possible. I encourage students to ask questions and actively participate in the lesson, so they feel confident applying what they learn rather than just memorizing facts.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by introducing new topics in manageable sections. I include discussion, problem-solving, and practical examples to illustrate how concepts work in real life. Lessons often end with a short recap and a few practice questions to reinforce understanding.
What sets me apart is my combination of academic knowledge and hands-on experience. With a Biology degree, experience as a Physical Therapy Aide, and strong communication skills developed as a barista, I can relate biological concepts to real-world applications, making the subject less intimidating and more exciting.
My lessons are ideal for high school and early college students studying general biology, AP Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Genetics, or other introductory courses. I also work with students who struggle with the subject or want to strengthen their understanding for exams, homework, or personal enrichment
