About Tilly
My name is Tilly. I am a student in S6/year 13, and I study opera on a scholarship at a specialist music school in Edinburgh. I began my education in the English system, and studied Biology until year 10, when I moved to Scotland, having achieved grade 9s in my higher mock exam. Having moved to Scotland, I learnt the entirety of the National 5 course in 8 months, achieving an A. The following year I achieved an A in higher Biology. Being a student myself and having studied both the English and Scottish systems, I have an extremely current knowledge of the exams and have multiple learning methods at my disposal. Also, I regularly volunteer in English primary schools, allowing me to develop my understanding of how to connect and work with tutees.

I offer the first 2 sessions free. The first session is a consultation where we will discuss the tutoring approach that works best for you, then the second session will focus on whether you enjoy my tutoring approach. I offer; help with homework, consolidation work of topics completed in school, completely teaching a new topic from scratch, exam preparation, and I am happy to complete either entire lesson plans in advance or just work on an area that you decide at the beginning of the session! If you are a visual learner, I use teams, so can do worked examples on the interactive whiteboard. I also provide worksheets and past papers to help students learn in the best way for them!

She helped me get through exams, amazing tutor!
As one of Matilda's high school teachers I have seen her tutor her peers, first under my guidance and later on her own. She is a very clear and calm tutor, taking her time to understand her student and ensure they understand her. One example is her sitting down with a younger student and taking the time to go through part of the biology course and help preparing them for an assessment. I am personally very impressed with her tutor skills.
