About Lily
I'm currently studying Biology at the University of Sheffield. I'm a friendly and passionate tutor with 9 months of experience tutoring a wide variety of subjects at A level, GCSE and KS3. I also have over 4 years of volunteering experience with children and young adults!
As a recent A level student myself, I can relate to what students feel during the tricky exam period. I believe this gives me a unique advantage over other tutors as I can help to push you towards grades they will be proud of without the additional stress and pressure.
While I specialise Biology, I'm still incredibly enthusiastic about English and Geography as well as other sciences. My love for all of these subjects means I'm excited to be able to share my knowledge and skills with you.
My strength lies with making subjects clear, engaging and relevant. I believe that the best way to pass exams is to truly and contextually understand concepts and processes. Weather you're looking to understand the immune system and genetics, metaphors in literary classics or navigating world issues, I can help you to unlock your full academic potential.

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to tutoring, and my priority is to tailor my lessons so that you can get out of them what you specifically need, weather that is help with understanding tricky concepts, catching up on missed time at school or exam practice.
I'm a patient person who has experience tutoring students aiming for the highest grades and others who's goal is to simply pass their exam. In our free meeting and initial lesson, we will work together to set out attainable goals for our lessons together. I will assess your strengths and weaknesses so that we can draw up a clear plan of what we will cover and when. This will be really useful for you when revising and will also help to follow along with what is being taught in school as I understand how tricky it can be with so much content being covered at GCSE and A level in such a short period of time.
