About Sherlyn
Hi! I’m Sherlyn, a 20-year-old college student currently studying biomedicine and physics. I’ve always had a love for learning and a passion for helping others understand tough concepts—especially when it comes to math. Algebra and calculus have been my strongest subjects for years, and I’ve had experience tutoring students one-on-one, even offering free help in the past just because I enjoy teaching so much. I believe in creating a supportive, judgment-free space where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. Outside of academics, I’m really into music and find that staying creative helps me connect better with people and adapt my teaching to different learning styles. Whether you’re trying to catch up or get ahead, I’m here to help make math less stressful and more understandable.

I’m here to help make math make sense. I’ve always had a strong understanding of math, from middle school all the way through college-level courses, and I genuinely enjoy helping others figure it out too.
My teaching style is chill but focused—I like to break things down step-by-step, use real-life examples, and make sure you feel comfortable asking questions (no judgment here!). A typical session with me usually starts with a quick review, then we’ll work through problems together, and I’ll make sure you’ve got the hang of it before we move on.
What makes me different as a tutor is that I’ve been in your shoes—I know how frustrating math can feel sometimes, but I also know how rewarding it is when it finally clicks. I keep things positive, encouraging, and at your pace.
I work with middle schoolers, high school students (ACT/SAT prep too!), and college students who need support with algebra, calculus, stats, or anything in between. Whether you’re struggling, want to stay ahead, or just need someone to explain things in a way that actually makes sense—I’ve got you!
