About Corinne
I have come to enjoy learning about math through years of hard work rather than natural ability. I have had to teach myself how to get through many problems, so I understand the struggle of learning math. I hope to help students from any starting point, and we will begin by working through problems together. In middle school, I was on the math team, and in high school, I earned a 35 on the math section of the ACT. I am currently minoring in mathematics at UAB, where I am a rising sophomore with a 4.0 GPA. I aspire to help any student improve their math abilities!

I understand how math is not easy for everyone, so my lessons would be centered around problem comprehension. My goal is to teach in easy-to-understand terms and break down problems into their simplest parts. I hope to teach students how to find out what the problem is truly asking -- which is a necessary skill for any test. I have seen firsthand the benefits of working through practice problems, so I would lead students through a few different problems, then guide them as they approach more problems on their own. I am comfortable teaching any level of math from Algebra I to Calculus I.
