About Sarah
I am a Biomedical Engineering student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a minor in Psychology. I am 20 years old, and for the past 5 years I have maintained my own tutoring business and have been teaching students a myriad of subjects! In the future, I hope to obtain my PhD and become a professor so that I can continue to inspire and educate students every single day. My teaching ramped up over the past few years, and I've been giving online group courses continuously for a while. I teach students from grades 6-12 in subjects like science and math, but I also teach well-being courses and happiness workshops. My teaching style is fun, relaxed, and upbeat. I truly care about all of my students and want to make their educational journeys more fun and stress-free.

In my eyes, "fun" and "learning" are simply inseparable. I try to create a safe space for learning through a relaxed approach with lots of room for growth. My philosophy is that it is a teacher's job to engage and help students fulfill their potentials to the highest degree. I also believe that the most magical teacher-student relationships are built on trust, comfort, and personality. I take this responsibility very seriously! In this class, students will learn the ins and outs of the immune system and each of its levels. Students will be able to describe how our bodies protect us from pathogens, what the different levels of defense are, how B- and T-cells work together, and how macrophages gobble up germs! Much more is in store... this class is best for ages 11-14.
