About Esperanza
During my tenure as a university teaching assistant (TA), I was required to run biology labs for up to 18 students at a time. My students regularly performed better on quizzes and exams than students of most other TAs.
My supervisor asked for my thoughts when it came to lesson material and exam questions, and when we had a new TA coming in, I was the one they shadowed.

- I break scientific words down by their word roots to help students understand a term rather than just trying to memorize it.
- If a topic isn't getting across, I will explain it differently over and over as many times as it takes to make sense.
- Students of all levels are welcome, although I have the most experience with students at a university freshman level.
