About Corinne
I have two years experience as a maths tutor through a mixture of private sessions and volunteering to help students from disadvantaged backgrounds. I have a passion for learning and hope to instil this same passion in anyone who crosses my path. I believe that I have excellent communication skills, not only in the tutoring sessions but also when if comes to arranging lessons, as I understand the importance of efficiency. As a university student I have learnt which techniques work best for each situations and hope that this will reassure students to take charge of their learning.

I believe every student has the potential to achieve great things, but sometimes might need some help to build confidence and motivation for learning to reach those top grades. That's where I come in:
Instead of a classroom approach, my personalised maths sessions are tailored to each individuals needs, to help ignite a passion for learning by understanding how to be independent and resilient in our learning.
After highlighting each students' strengths and weaknesses I will create a personalised learning plan. In our customised sessions we will use a mixture of worked examples, past paper questions, and the occasional progress quiz to ensure that we learn the best techniques to understand and answer different concepts.
Sessions will be interactive, and (hopefully!) student led, allowing us to adjust the pace based on you. Questions are always encouraged!
Whether you have a big block test coming up and need a big block session, or would prefer weekly sessions (1-2 hours), I will ensure that all core concepts are covered and that we focus on applying these to exam style questions. Depending on progress made, we can then decide to shorten or extend sessions.
I study biomedical sciences as university, so was in your position just a few years ago. I achieved 11 (i)GCSEs and A levels in Maths, Chemistry and Biology. I have two years tutoring/academic coaching experience and specialise in maths at GCSE level. I can also extend to biology, chemistry and physics at GCSE level if required. Alongside GCSEs I can adapt my teaching methodology to suite younger students (primary/secondary students) as well.
