About Summer
My name is Summer and I am interested in teaching as I am passionate about my career path and would love to help inspire more people to love science. Throughout secondary school I did a lot of 1 on 1 tutoring with younger students and loved learning new teaching techniques to boost understanding.

As I am 19 and have recently left school, I am familiar and comfortable with the techniques used in the classroom. I am also up to date with the specifications for subjects as I sat my last set of exams less than 1 year ago.
When creating my lesson plans, I create a checklist to ensure we are following the specification and therefore learning the exact content that will be on the exam paper.
Personally, I am a visual learner, and find diagrams and drawings useful, however I am happy to adapt to learning styles that best suit you.
I also think its extremely useful to have exam practice and like to prepare exam style questions for students to answer, in order to get a good idea of their understanding of the content.
