About Jia Wen Haru
I’m a Biology enthusiast who loves sharing the beauty of science with those studying the subject. After my first tutoring stint in November 2020, I realised how naturally teaching came to me and thus I continue to teach till today. I’ve heard from my students that I have a cheery personality and encouraging teaching style that makes them want to show up for lessons :) Hearing students have their ‘eureka’ moments spurs me to continue teaching Biology and Chemistry to the best of my ability.

- I follow syllabus closely to deliver concise content in easily understood terms. I utilise illustrations, diagrams and analogies to better visualise difficult topics.
- My lessons range from 1 hour to 2 hours (with a break in between) to optimise learning.
- I undertook O levels in Singapore in 2018, attaining the highest possible grade in both. Following that, I took Biology and Chemistry at Higher Level for the IBDP and attained a 6 and 7 respectively.
- I have been tutoring O level GCSE Biology and Chemistry for both combined and pure sciences since November 2020, tutoring a combined total of 8 students thus far.
- I am most comfortable tutoring GCSE Chemistry and Biology for students of any academic ability :)
