About Indu
My passion for Science led me to research in areas spanning protein folding, biochemistry and algal photosynthesis. I discovered my love for teaching (in the lab and classrooms) while I was a researcher at University. The pleasure of helping students understand concepts, help find answers to challenging questions and guiding students to the joys of learning are my reasons for teaching.

Getting the students to like a subject and believe that they can learn, understand and enjoy the subject is the key to help them achieve excellence. My approach includes interactive sessions with the student, breaking down concepts with relatable analogies, and helping students to get to answers themselves with the concepts with which they are acquainted. I have a B.Sc (Microbiology and Chemistry), M.Sc in Biotechnology (IIT Bombay), Ph.D in Biophysics (IISc, Bangalore). I have worked as a researcher in academia for over 10 years at Univ of Massachusetts and Univ of Cambridge. I have taught undergraduate students during my tenure as researcher and I have volunteered as a high school teacher in a NGO run school called Shanti Bhavan. I am offering online classes (1 hr length) in Biology and Chemistry for secondary school and GCSE students.
