About Ahana
I’m a highly qualified tutor with a B.Tech in Biotechnology, M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering from IIT Bombay, and an MSc in International Healthcare Management from Imperial College London. With research experience at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and having served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at both Imperial and IIT-B, I offer a practical, research-oriented approach to tutoring that helps students excel in A-Level, IB, and undergraduate-level coursework.

My goal as a tutor is to make biology and biotechnology feel less intimidating and a lot more exciting. I focus on helping students truly understand the subject, not just memorise it—using real-world examples, diagrams, and simple explanations that stick. I also love encouraging questions and discussions to keep things interactive and comfortable. I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals—whether that’s preparing for exams, strengthening fundamentals, or exploring advanced topics like genetics, biomedical applications, or research methods. I’m happy to help with coursework, study techniques, or even university applications in life sciences. Lesson length: Usually 60 to 90 minutes, depending on what works best for you Teaching experience: I’ve worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Imperial College London and IIT Bombay, supporting both undergrads and postgrads Who I teach: • GCSE, A-Level, IB Biology students • Uni students studying life sciences, biotech, or biomedical fields • Anyone who’s curious and wants to learn more about biology! I bring not just academic experience, but also research exposure at places like Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, which helps me bring a practical, global perspective to what we study.
