About Rowan
I am Rowan, from Egypt. I am super passionate about biology and really looking forward to teaching you! We will explore biology together, not just as a subject, but also to understand the fundamentals of life. The way our body is is more intricate than any machine. And how nature replicates that in its diversity and ecology.
Along with my deep passion, I bring expertise. I have published peer-reviewed research papers, presented at International conferences, and am well-connected within the scientific community, so if you need tips about your future as a scientist, I would be delighted to help you. I have lived in Malaysia for the past five years. The English language is an important tool in my arsenal of teaching, and I prove it with my 8.5 IELTS certificate. A typical length of the lesson is 1 hour. I would recommend that the student read the chapter before coming, but that's not mandatory. I would explain the lesson as we write the notes so they have a clear understanding of how the concept is drawn out, as biology is a very visual subject. I would supplement the lesson with a lot of pictures and 3D diagrams, so they are excited about biology, not just as a subject, but as a way of life. This is my first time tutoring, but I am bringing with me my deep expertise as a researcher and what I learned from my experienced teachers and private tutors when I was in an international school. I can teach from grades 4 to 10 with confidence that 10th graders can ace their IGCSEs with me, using simple but secret tips that helped many students, like me, score an A* on the first try.
