About Olivia
I bring lightheartedness to lessons--ballet is very demanding and my goal is to help people approach dance with confidence and inspiration. I love working on specific goals and creating a personalized lesson as well as a mini "home program" tailored to you. I offer technique classes, (barre and center exercises) pointe class, stretch class, strength and conditioning, and basic fundamentals for students above the age of 12. In-person private lessons available in the greater Philadelphia area.
I have scoliosis and I've had a lot of training to understand how to work with my asymmetry and weak points. I have a diverse training background with both Balanchine and Vaganova training, as well as jazz and contemporary dance. My aim is not to give a heavily stylized class, but to polish and strengthen fundamental things like clear arm and head positions, alignment, turnout from the hips, use of plié, precise footwork and overall coordination. Bring out your artistry, build your movement vocabulary, and let's dance!

Olivia is very knowledgeable and gives great corrections. I started ballet at age 42 after a 25 year hiatus and her lessons helped me immensely. She’s Russian trained and a pro who breaks down the technique and adjusts combinations for your level.
