About Joe
My name is Joe. I graduated from high school in 2019 and decided to study a Bachelor of Law at Bond Uni. During the years of my schooling, I've been achieving amazing grades in every subject. I excel at languages. In the last five years, I attended numerous Spanish and Japanese speech competition held at Griffith University. Apart from this, I also received many subject awards for Spanish and Japanese from school as well as individual student awards from Language Perfect. My passion for learning languages has also allowed me to achieve the top grades for both Spanish and Japanese in my cohort throughout the past five years.
Learning a language is pretty tough! Let me tell you something about me. I moved to Australia from China when I was eleven. When I came here, I literally could not speak any English! All I knew was some greeting words. Back in the day, my mum used to force me to memorise ninety English words every single day. Although it was tough, it was also effective. One year later, I noticed that my English has improved so much! I could understand what teachers were talking about during class time and what my mates were talking about during their lunchtime.
In high school, I chose Spanish and Japanese for my electives. I was deeply in love with learning languages. At the age of 14, I started teaching myself French.
Learning languages has also allowed me to make friends from foreign countries. I was deeply in love with a girl from Paris. I talked to her every single night on Instagram using French. By talking to her, my French has improved dramatically.
As a passionate linguist, I want to let more people know the significance as well as the benefits of learning a language. Furthermore, I want to help every single student to achieve the best grade that they could possibly get.
Nothing is impossible. Take me as an example, from being a person who had a language barrier to being a person who can speak multiple languages. If you want to improve your Spanish, Japanese or Chinese, it is not too late. As long as you will persist and Joe is always here just for you.
The result is what matters the most, Joe is here to help you to get the result.

As a passionate linguist, obviously, I am not going to make my students think learning a language is tedious. Of course, I am not going to expect my students to memorise ninety words every day like my mum used to force me to. However, I am going to help them to develop a passion for learning languages as well as to disclose my secrets of learning a new language.
Throughout the course, students will start from the basics such as learning different types of Japanese characters, how to count and greet. However, this is not the only thing that we will be focusing on throughout the course. In most schools in Queensland, this will be covered in grade seven or eight. We will be focusing more on grammar such as learning how to conjugate and knowing different sentence patterns as well as knowing how to use them. Getting good at grammar is the key. Especially when students get to grade eleven and twelve, teachers will expect them to write in Japanese using a variety of sentence patterns. Throughout the course, students will learn more vocabulary and improve their reading and writing skills. I can also help them with their assignments.
If you are not satisfied with anything, I am happy to hear your feedback. I will do the best I can to improve.
