About Tafara
Overview & Approach
Passionate, patient, and down-to-earth, I help students master difficult concepts and build long-term confidence in maths. Tutoring across various age groups since I was 14—starting by supporting my fellow peers while completing my own GCSEs—has taught me that no two learners are the same. My adaptive teaching style meets students where they are, taking their individual mindsets and feelings into account to make complex topics approachable, engaging, and stress-free.
Academic Background & Experience
I am currently studying Robotics Engineering at Loughborough University, having achieved an A* in A-Level Mathematics, an A in A-Level Further Maths, and a Grade 9 (92%) at GCSE. Over the past 3+ years of formal tutoring, I have guided students aged 7 to 17 through primary foundations, GCSEs, A-Level Maths, and Further Maths prep—focusing on core intuition, problem-solving techniques, and exam performance.

I offer fully tailored, highly adaptable maths sessions designed around each student's learning style and target grades. Being deeply immersed in the current specifications across all major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR) for GCSE, A-Level Maths, and Further Maths, I don't just teach one rigid method. I break down complex problems using multiple intuitive approaches—giving students the opportunity to discover the exact method that suits them best and makes the concept "click."
Whether working with a younger pupil building numerical confidence or a 17-year-old tackling advanced calculus and mechanics, I create an engaging space where maths is understood deeply rather than just memorised. Lesson length and frequency are customised based on the student's age, target level, and attention span, and will always be thoroughly discussed with parents beforehand to ensure we build the optimal learning plan.
