About Beverly
My name is Beverly, and I am a student at Boston Latin School with a strong interest in helping others succeed academically. I have experience in Algebra 1–2, English, and entry-level Chemistry, and I enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps.
As a tutor, I am patient, organized, and supportive. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to adjust my explanations and teaching style to fit each individual. Being a student myself allows me to relate to common academic challenges and explain material in a clear, approachable way.
I am passionate about building confidence in my students and helping them develop strong study habits and problem-solving skills that will benefit them both in and out of the classroom.

My teaching approach is student-centered and adaptable. I focus on explaining concepts in simple, clear ways and adjusting my methods based on how each student learns best. I encourage questions, active participation, and step-by-step problem solving so students truly understand the material rather than just memorizing it.
My lessons for English are more crafted for younger students. Specifically designed for second languages, literacy, and grammar.
-For Algebra, it’s based on middle school students.
-For Chemistry, students that have not yet participated in Chemistry or haven’t fully grasped the basics (Entry-level Chemistry 1)
