About Brianna
My name is Brianna Florence, and I graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences in Biochemistry from the University of Denver with minors in Biological Science and French and Francophone studies. Some background information about myself is that I have worked as a science tutor for over three years. I applied my scientific knowledge in the science research labs I worked in as a biochemist. I have also attended several workshops on improving academic performances. I was the academic chair of my sorority, and I have much practice in helping individuals create study plans/test-taking strategies. During my first year of undergrad, I won the general chemistry award for excelling in my courses and spreading my love of chemistry. I have worked with the DU Science and Engineering Center, Wyzant, Outschool, and Our Military Kids for many science and math subjects. My tutoring experience has been both in person and online for students across many age groups with various academic backgrounds.
I love helping individuals create study plans and schedules. I also take the time to cater to individuals learning needs and provide ways to help master the content for long-term results. I am open to feedback and am flexible in my teaching methods. I aspire to teach in the future, and I look forward to starting this journey by tutoring.

I am open to feedback and am flexible in my teaching methods. Typically, the sessions begin with a brief introduction of myself, an introduction of the concepts we will go over, and why they are important, then we dive into lessons and practice problems. I try to incorporate visuals and easy approaches to the topics at hand. I also alternate between providing examples and allowing students to work through similar examples with my guidance. All students are encouraged to ask questions. Therefore, I will frequently be pausing for concept checks. The concept checks will allow students to ask questions, ask for explanations and summarize the previously discussed information. I also provide practice problems and an answer key so that students can practice what they have learned outside of class.
