About Eddie
Originally hailing from Philadelphia, I have traversed a musical path that has taken me from the roots of North Carolina and back again, all while balancing a career and pursuing music on the side. My early training at Settlement Music School's Germantown and Jenkintown branches, as well as at Gibson Music School at 5th and Olney, has laid the foundation for my musical endeavors. Even as institutions shift and change, the music and lessons imbibed in these spaces continue to resonate within me. Drawing from a blend of formal training and practical experience gained through working in various studios, I have cultivated my own artistic voice and talents, which I am eager to share with others. It is through this journey that I find inspiration and a deep-seated passion for nurturing musical creativity and growth in those around me.

In my teaching, I place a strong emphasis on finger training to ensure that each keystroke is deliberate and precise. Developing dexterity and control over the keys not only enhances the quality of sound but also allows pianists to express themselves more fluently. By mastering this fundamental aspect, students lay a sturdy foundation for their musical journey. Additionally, honing the skill of identifying pitches refines the ear, enabling pianists to play with greater accuracy and musicality. Through exercises and techniques focused on pitch recognition, students can train their ears to distinguish subtle nuances in sound, enriching their playing experience.
