About Marcus
I have had a decade working with Deaf students and a lifetime of using BSL, and have really enjoyed teaching a range of topics from English language and BSL Basics to Life Skills and Apprenticeship Preparation - ranging from Nursery level (more trying to hold their attention for more than 2.5 seconds than teaching, so I'm not sure if I can count that) to Adult College Course level (sigh of relief).

I am a qualified British Sign Language interpreter with a decade of experience working with Deaf students in colleges around the UK. BSL is a beautiful language, but there's more than just vocabulary involved.
Like somebody wanting to become a good chef learns not only what ingredients go in to a dish, but also why they are in there, I believe to truly understand BSL, you need to learn how Deaf people communicate, what their culture is, and how the language is structured, alongside a well-chosen course of useful vocabulary.
I love the language, and Deaf people, and I will be more than happy to help you understand the whole package of BSL.
