About Christina
I'm a Mathematics and Statistics tutor with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for teaching. I hold a BSc (Honors) in Industrial Mathematics and recently completed my MSc in Statistics at Brock University. I have worked as a Teaching Assistant at Brock University for several Mathematics and Statistics courses, supporting undergraduate students through tutorials, problem-solving, grading and exam preparation. I also work as an instructor at Kumon, where I support school-aged students in developing their mathematical skills, confidence and independent learning habits. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with students across different ages and ability levels. I aim to create a friendly and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and can develop both a strong understanding of mathematics and confidence in their abilities.

I believe mathematics becomes much easier when students understand the reasoning behind each step rather than simply memorizing formulas. My teaching approach is patient, supportive and adapted to each student’s individual learning style and level. I typically begin by explaining the key concepts clearly, work through examples step by step, and then guide students through practice problems independently. With a strong academic background in Mathematics and Statistics and experience teaching and supporting students, I focus on building both understanding and confidence. I offer lessons in Mathematics and Statistics for elementary, middle, high school, college and undergraduate university students, whether you need help understanding difficult concepts, preparing for exams or strengthening your overall problem-solving skills.
