During the first lesson, I like to get to know my student's personalities, academic strategies, and study habits. With this information, I incorporate base-level information with test-like practice problems to determine what is confusing about the subject and where is a good place to start learning the material. I understand that not everyone learns the same way, and encourage students to share what method they find most effective when learning new material.
