About Ibukun
I am a passionate EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teacher with a good background in teaching through volunteer projects. With a focus on creating engaging and interactive lessons, I strive to help my students develop their English language skills and achieve their language learning goals.
In my free time, I enjoy indulging in a variety of hobbies. I am an avid reader, always immersing myself in different genres and expanding my literary horizons. Painting is another passion of mine, as it allows me to use my creativity and express myself visually. Travelling the world is a thrilling adventure that I embark on whenever possible, as I love exploring new cultures, trying new cuisines, and capturing the beauty of diverse landscapes. And when I want to unwind and relax, I love to watch Netflix dramas that transport me to different worlds and immerse me in engaging storylines.

My teaching approach is student-centered, using diverse methods to engage young learners between the ages of 3-12 and facilitate meaningful language practice.
With a 120-hour TEFL certificate, I'm equipped to teach English to non-native speakers, having learned lesson planning, classroom management, and grammar/vocabulary instruction.
In 2024, I taught English online via Preply for 5 months, working with international students. This experience enhanced my online teaching skills and cultural adaptability, improving my ability to tailor lessons to individual needs.
I volunteered at a school in Uttaradit, Thailand in June 2024, teaching English to primary school children through interactive activities. This experience broadened my educational perspective and deepened my passion for teaching and cultural exchange.
As a Sunday school teacher for 3 years, I've developed engaging lessons to foster children's spiritual and academic growth.
During a 6-week teaching assistantship at St. Paul's Primary School, I gained valuable classroom experience, reinforcing my commitment to teaching.
