About Alisha
I am an aspiring Astrobiologist who teaches STEM subjects. I am passionate about encouraging future generations of scientists who will challenge the status quo, and ask important questions in order to drive real change. If I don't know an answer, I will find one for you through my academic network. I am honest and hard-working, and will go above and beyond to ensure you understand content; I will ask you in-depth questions to promote discussions for higher learning. As an academic mentor, I also teach stress management tools; my forte is exam preparation and improving test scores.

With the biological sciences, my teaching method is strongly influenced by scientific research, and emphasizes the importance of studying history alongside modern scientific theory, developing skills in data interpretation and understanding the scientific method (experimentation) - i.e. what constitutes good science vs. bad science. If students can understand how to design scientific experiments in order to test hypotheses and know when to reject working theories, I strongly believe this constitutes mastery of the scientific discipline.

Alisha has a broad knowledge of her field gained through her years of experience and studies. She has a unique ability to connect with her students and relate complex learning material in an easy and intuitive manner. She has helped me immensely in my preparation for the workforce.
Alisha is patient and always able to explain things to me no matter little my understanding of the topic is. If I have had a question about something I would be reluctant to ask someone in fear of their reaction of me not knowing. I can confidently ask Alisha and know her only concern will be explaining the answer in a way that I do understand. With zero judgement or making me feel self conscience about not understanding.
I am never reluctant to ask Alisha a question in fear of sounding ignorant.Alisha is a very passionate teacher. She has a talent for explaining complex subjects in a manner that is easy to understand.
Alisha has excellent creditals with teaching students at all levels. Alisha has the ability to research how and what each student needs so they can achieve better outcomes. I would highly recommend Alisha to any student needing assistance in their studies
Alisha is not only exceptionally intelligent and scientifically brilliant but is also one of the most caring and understanding people I’ve had the good fortune to get to know.
She came into academia already possessing a host of real-world experience as a vet tech, caring for large animals in wilderness settings. Her experience in the lab and classroom as a student instructor was groundbreaking in those environments as well.
I’m confident that she can help inspire any interested student struggling with any of a host of learning challenges and help them understand the minute details of studying, higher math, chemistry or biology, based on her prior achievements and high reviews.View more recommendations
