About Waywen
I am currently an MSc in Integrated Immunology student at the University of Oxford. I finished my BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences in the University of Edinburgh in 2022, graduating with a First Class Honours. My interests mainly reside in Human and Medical Biology, in which I am keen on studying on Immunology and Inflammation.
For my A Levels, I have achieved A*A*A*A* in all four of my subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics). I have also received Top Project Prize for my degree and also Prize for Most Distinguished Scholar.
I have experience in tutoring Scottish Advanced Highers Biology, Science according to the Malaysian Certificate of Education and I used to give free tuition lessons to students in my alma mater during after school hours. I've received positive feedbacks about the way I engage on topics, able to easily attract their attention on some seemingly boring topics. They are able to excel in their studies, being able to improve on their high school exam results.

I am a First Class Honours graduate and I give tutoring to A Level students on Chemistry. The way I teach is through understanding concepts and how to apply critical thinking to answer questions, not through mere memorization. My teaching methodology involves looking at problems and questions, and from there I would try to engage with the student to understand topics and learning how to break down a question so it seems less daunting to tackle. Chemistry is always a tricky subject for a lot of students, but with the right mindset it won't be as scary as it seems. I am a friendly, engaging person, don't be afraid to approach me and ask! Asking is always the right way to learn, and no questions are stupid!
I am also always ready to modify my teaching methodology in accordance to the needs of the students! So feel free to contact me so we can discuss more on it.
