About Doné
I am absolutely fascinated by the human body and how everything works together and influences one another. I loved biology in school, which led me to pursue a BSc majoring in anatomy and physiology—but it didn’t stop there. I’m now studying medicine, and I rely daily on the foundational concepts I first learned in high school. What truly inspires me is that moment when I look at an exam question and smile, knowing exactly how to answer it. I want to help other students reach that same level of confidence and understanding. I like to begin addressing a topic by starting broad—focusing first on the main idea, purpose, or function of a body part—and then gradually working my way into the finer details and mechanisms. I believe a strong foundation in the basics is essential for understanding more complex concepts, which is why I place emphasis on building that foundation.
I am proficient in both Afrikaans and English, and I tailor my teaching approach to suit each student’s individual needs. This includes explaining topics covered in class, revising past material, preparing for upcoming lessons, and developing critical thinking skills for assessments. High school students of all grades are welcome.
