About Om
I'm Om, and I'm currently doing a BSc in Physics. I have a great interest in physics and want to pursue it as a career. I've been through the brunt of preparing for exams like the Boards, IIT-JEE, KVPY etc. My transition from the 10th grade to a JEE coaching institute in the 11th wasn't exactly smooth. Initially, I had difficulty understanding concepts as I had been so used to solving problems using simple formulae and plugging in values. That's why I would like to share my knowledge, because I believe understanding concepts is essential to understanding science, and the foundations for this can be set as early as Std. VIII, when students are introduced to different aspects of science and math.

At the school level, physics and math is often taught in a very mechanical manner, with great preference given to simply memorizing couple of formulae, plugging in values and solving. Very few emphasis is given to derivations, and making sure that the concepts have actually been explained properly.
In my class, I would be trying to incorporate as many derivations and problems possible to make sure that the concepts are crystal clear. Rigor will be introduced when needed, and learning to solve problems intuitively will be a priority.
I personally believe that quality > quantity. So, while, the no. of questions I assign may not be high, but they will be good quality questions that require some original thinking, using the same concepts.
These classes would be best suitable for students from Std. VIII to Std. X
