About Mila Moore
With a double degree in Computer Science and Economics from the University of Maryland, I have over 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer at Amazon and currently work as a Software Developer at a venture-backed startup. Proficient in Java and Python, I have a strong background in advanced math concepts relevant to programming. I have successfully tutored students in Computer Science, helping them grasp key concepts and improve their coding skills. My passion for teaching and patient, enthusiastic approach have proven effective in guiding students of all ages through the world of programming. I specialize in project-based learning for Computer Programming. My approach is focused on helping students identify creative technology projects they are passionate about and guiding them through the process of accomplishing their goals. I make coding activities interactive and enjoyable to keep students engaged. My aim is for students to leave each lesson with a fun project they can continue working on independently, fostering a sense of curiosity and self-directed learning. I believe that for every hour of tutoring, students should gain the skills and confidence to pursue at least ten hours of independent learning.
