About Layla
I am a Spanish tutor with over 3 years of experience and a degree in Mathematics with Actuarial Science. My greatest passion is supporting heritage speakers as they reconnect with Spanish and grow in fluency. Many of my students are already conversational but want to gain confidence in grammar, academic writing, and broader vocabulary. I provide clear, structured guidance to help them achieve that. My lessons focus on more than just accuracy; they focus on self-expression. I also bring in cultural awareness, recognizing the richness and variety of Spanish-speaking communities. For heritage speakers, language often touches identity in powerful ways. I teach with sensitivity and encourage students to see Spanish not as something they lack but as something they already hold within themselves. Lessons are built on patience, encouragement, and steady progress. Each session is designed to increase both skill and confidence. Learning Spanish with me is an adventure into stories, music, and traditions. I make lessons interactive, cultural, and full of energy.
