About Ria
Hi, I'm Ria! I got into tutoring because I genuinely enjoy the moment a student goes from feeling stuck to feeling capable. Maths has a reputation for being intimidating, and I know first-hand that the right support and explanation can completely change how a student feels about the subject. That's what drives me, not just improving grades, but helping students build real confidence in their own abilities. I personally grew a love for mathematics through going for tutoring lessons back when I was younger, and I want to pass this passion to the next generation!
I am patient, reliable and professional, and I take time to get to know each student so that lessons feel comfortable, focused and productive. Whether your child is preparing for an important exam or simply needs help keeping up with school, I am committed to making sure every session counts.

My approach centres on understanding over memorisation. I start each lesson by identifying where a student is struggling, then break concepts down into clear, manageable steps using worked examples and guided practice. Students are encouraged to talk through their thinking, which builds real confidence and independent problem-solving skills. For exam students, I incorporate past paper questions and teach specific exam techniques alongside the content.
A typical session runs for 60 minutes, though I am flexible depending on the student's needs and concentration levels.
I am a Mathematics tutor with 7 years of experience delivering 1:1 and group lessons, both online and in person. I hold an A-Level in Mathematics (A*) and IGCSE Mathematics (A*) and Additional Mathematics (A*). I am studying BSc Business Management at King's College London. I have a proven track record of helping students improve by multiple grade boundaries and consistently receive positive feedback for my patient, structured teaching style.
