About Amrita
My name is Amrita Alam Sandhy. I am from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I am a PhD candidate in TESOL under the faculty of Education at UKM, Malaysia. I am a Cambridge CELTA Certified Teacher. I had my B.A (Hons) and M.A in Applied Linguistics and ELT. Besides, I am a Certified Ei (Emotional Intelligence) graduate. I have 5+ years of experience in teaching and training CEFR-aligned ESL/EFL, and ESP (Business English) courses ranging from A1 to C1 levels as well as EAP courses e.g. IELTS preparation course. I am knowledgeable in teaching ESL/EFL methods and classroom activating techniques. I have created, designed, and developed 200+ lesson plans (LP), teaching/learning materials (TLM), audio & video materials, e-books, notes, quizzes, and pre-recorded courses for Ed-tech/e-learning platforms. I am a lifelong learner and I love learning about new things, different cultures, and languages. Apart from teaching and learning, I am a passionate cook. In my free time, I love trying out new dishes and different continental food. I love spending some "me" time taking care of my physical, mental and spiritual health. Shopping, watching documentaries, listening to Quran recitation, and reading good books are my favourite free-time activities. People find me friendly and helpful yet I am a selectively social person. I listen more and talk less. I have a lot of dreams in my eyes and a long way to go.
