About Andrea
My name is Andrea, I’m 25 years old and currently in my first year living in the UK. I’m studying a Master’s degree in Data Intensive Science at the University of Cambridge, with plans to begin a PhD next year. To support myself during my studies, I’m offering private tutoring in Maths and Physics, subjects I’m truly passionate about.
Back in Spain, I worked as both a private tutor and in an academic support centre, helping school and high school students succeed in these subjects. I also have a background as a semi-professional handball player, which taught me the value of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance, qualities I bring into my teaching style.
My lessons are friendly and supportive, but also structured and focused. I believe students should feel confident and encouraged, but also challenged to give their best effort. Once they understand the basics, I guide them through carefully designed exercises and small puzzles that help sharpen their thinking and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging way.
I love seeing students gain confidence in subjects they once found intimidating. Whether you need help catching up or want to aim higher, I’m here to help you achieve your goals with motivation, clarity, and a bit of fun along the way

I believe that truly understanding maths and physics goes beyond simply solving exercises—it’s about developing the ability to think critically and logically. In my classes, I adapt to each student’s pace and needs, ensuring they build a solid foundation in the subject. Once they are comfortable with the core concepts, I like to introduce small puzzles and logic problems related to the material we’ve covered. These challenges are designed not to frustrate, but to stimulate curiosity and strengthen problem-solving skills. They often feel more like games than tests, which helps students stay engaged and motivated.
My approach aims to make learning both effective and enjoyable. I want my students to feel confident, not just in passing exams, but in approaching complex problems with a structured and analytical mindset. I believe that this kind of thinking is valuable far beyond the classroom.
Each lesson lasts around one hour, which I find is the ideal time to stay focused and productive without becoming overwhelming. I teach students between the ages of 10 and 18, covering both school and high school levels.
I have a dual undergraduate degree in Physics and Mathematics, and I’m currently studying for a Master’s in Data Intensive Science at the University of Cambridge. I’ve been tutoring for over 5 years, mainly working with students in Spain, and have a strong track record of helping them improve both their understanding and their grades.
