About Jacob
Having just completed my A-Levels, I am very familiar with the content and the techniques required to pick up the most marks on every question. At GCSE, I got 9s in all the STEM and Maths subjects and I took A-Level Maths a year early and got an A* so I feel confident in teaching students working up to any level. I had to learn A-Level maths independently since I decided to take it early so I've spent a considerable amount of time figuring out how best to teach myself - knowledge I have extended to tutoring others.
Last year I went through the application process to Cambridge for Natural Sciences so I have experience with entrance exams (in particular the ESAT). I had specialised interview training as part of a scholarship which helped me narrow down exactly what interviewers are looking for to secure my offer.
I have been tutoring my younger brother in Level 2 Further Maths in the past year because his school does not offer the subject. The sessions with him have developed my teaching ability as well as being very rewarding, prompting me to pursue tutoring as a profession.

I like to focus on developing understanding as opposed to overwhelming my students with too many facts.
In my studies, I have found past papers to be the most helpful resource so my lessons will incorporate them, explaining what is required to gain each mark, alongside detailed topic breakdowns when needed.
My lessons are for Oxbridge, Imperial and UCL applicants needing support with the ESAT and interview preparation.
I also provide expert tutoring for A-Level and GCSE students in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry
