About Aoife
Hello!
My name is Aoife. It's an Irish name, pronounced ee-fa. I studied English Literature at Cambridge University, and then trained as an actor for 2 years at LAMDA. I've been working as a tutor now for over 5 years, as well as acting and writing.
I've worked with a wide-range of students, from ages 4-18. My speciality is English, working on both critical and creative writing, although I also teach Maths up to GCSE.
My tutoring experience includes:
KS1 and 2: English and Maths.
11+ exams: English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning
13+ English and History
GCSE: English Language, English Literature, Drama, Maths, History
A Level: English Literature, Drama, History
University level: Oxbridge and Drama School Applications

I like to keep my lessons fun and interactive, tailoring them around the student’s interests. We normally always start with a mental warm-up game, before diving into a reading or writing task. I like to create a supportive environment, building my student’s confidence, whilst also pushing them to fulfil their potential!
I like to use Google docs and drawings to allow us to collaborate during lessons. For younger pupils I tend to use BitPaper (a fun online interactive whiteboard which also allows for collaboration).
